Portable Garden Units

We’d like to introduce you to our Portable Garden Unit system. These are self-contained units that can be deployed on a short- to medium-term rental basis in suitable non-green areas, providing a beneficial natural environment.

How do they work?

Portable Garden Units (PGUs) contain our proprietary control units that function as the heart and brains of our system.

The sensors record:

irrigation system performance (including fluid levels and faults)
weather data
air quality
footfall
security / tamper alarms

Data is streamed to our Head Office as well as being available locally to garden visitors via its local WiFi access point. This data is also published as open data and available via a set of public APIs.

Our website and app will show locations in the UK where PGUs are installed and all of the the data generated by each deployed unit.

One of the benefits of our data logger is the recording of air quality data which can then be used to indicate the impact our gardens have in reducing pollution.
